Hi Steemians!!
Finally I'm going to post a blog about DIY. Since the time I was introduced to this glue called Mod Podge I was in love with it. It is one glue that makes magic in the world of art. Staying in UK getting a photo frame looks way to expensive and Mod Podge makes life easier and walls beautiful with a piece of art. So, today’s DIY is on a canvas board and get a beautiful picture that you want to on a canvas board.
Things required:
- Canvas Board (Size of your choice)
- Mod Podge Glue
- Acrylic paint (Colour of your choice)
- Thick paint brush or Foam Brush
- Photocopy of the image that you need on the canvas (Use a normal A4 size paper material and not the photo paper or any other glossy papers)
Procedure:
- Cut the photocopy of the image in the shape and size that you need.
- Mark the point on the canvas board and place the canvas board on a waste paper (Cause you would not want the glue to get on floor) :P
- Apply black acrylic paint on the sides of the canvas board and let it dry. (You can also apply it after step 6 if you want the edges of the photo to be random just like how i did it in the image below)
- Once it’s dried, using a foam brush apply Mod Podge on the canvas board. (Apply it evenly all over the canvas board but don’t apply too thick layers of it because you would not want the air bubbles to pop up while sticking the photocopy).
- Now stick the photocopy gently over the canvas board and remove the air bubbles using your debit card/scale.
- Let it dry overnight.
- Once it is dried apply Mod Podge generously on top of the photo to give a glossy touch to the photo and let it dry again.
The canvas board is ready to go on the wall. You can also replace the canvas board by wooden board or tiles as per your wish. Do try it and post the pictures below if you try this wall art.
See you Soon
Love from London 😉
