I am still on my festive cleanup rampage. I opened up my front closet door and this is the horror I saw. Winter gear thrown all over the place. I could not take it anymore so the tackle began.

First Step is to empty the closet of all its contents. I love this feeling of taking everything out and getting to the bottom of things for a good clean.

I did not plan on investing a single cent into the closet clean up, so I dug through my supply closet and found some leftover wallpaper and paint.

Shoe organization is one of the most important details for my day. One a typical busy morning of getting two kids out the door for school plus myself to work, there is nothing more annoying than digging through a messy closet to find the other pair to a shoe. I also slipped in our bench to store car keys, mittens, hats, scarves etc, so that when I close up the closet doors it is all out of sight out of mind.

I love the idea of message centers in a busy household. I recently created a chalkboard wall in my kitchen for writing daily memos to each other and I absolutely love it. So I pulled out some leftover chalkboard paint and painted the inside of the closet doors to write daily memos and reminders on.

Thanks for Reading, now get Organizing :)

The chalkboard paint is a cool idea. I actually have a can of it that was left by the previous homeowner. You did a great job!
Thank you! Today was a holiday inspiration )
What a great feeling to have that organized. I think everyone's home, well mostly, is cluttered and has stuff jammed in there. Nice job with reorganizing and I love the chalkboard idea too....I'm going to steal that one. I also have leftover paint and wallpaper....I should jazz mine up after the new year.
I will be very happy if my idea will be useful! Thank you :)
RS and UV for you!
Great stuff, keep up the good work.
I love the re-purposing of things myself big time. Very good job and weather reports for the kids lol
Nice! :D
Nice. I'm doing my annual "spring" cleaning this week. 3 rooms done. 2 to go. :-)
