So I went back to the store where I originally bought the "Classic Car" woodcraft construction kit that I posted a week back. Although there are a lot of construction kits available, they are mostly "Classic Car" types. There isn't really much choice for me, but to go through the kits.
After about 5 minutes of looking through duplicates, I found another design. As this title states, I got a "Biplane" woodcraft construction kit.
This is a more complicated build than the classic car. Half-way through the build, I had to let the glue dry up so the structure of the wood puzzle gets a little more rigid. Otherwise, while trying to add on to the biplane's body, several pieces would fall off.
The degree of difficulty in putting this one together has worsened. A lot of the plane's pieces don't fit snugly. And I had to use the sandpaper that came with the package to trim the parts to make them fit. This must be the reason why the sandpaper came with the bill of materials. Whereas, it is absent from the "Classic Car".
This is how it looks, half-built. It resembles an airplane already.
With the glue all dried up, I put the other pieces together to complete the biplane.
Here's the front view of the fully constructed biplane. Looks like it is about to take off.
I wonder if there are other kits that are neither biplane nor classic car in the store. After getting this loot, I hurried to the cashier to pay for it and go home. I didn't bother to check if there are other available kits that I could put together in the future.
I'm actually starting to enjoy the arduous challenge of figuring out how to put these woodcraft construction kits together.
After my son arrived home, his eyes were beaming seeing the biplane. Mission accomplished!
