Happy Diwali 🪔

Hello everyone! Konichiwa!!!

I’m thrilled to share my second blog post with you all! Today, It's about 'Diwali'a. For us, the name Diwali isn’t just about lights and sweets; it’s about the warmth of family and the laughter of friends.

Being a Marathi girl, Diwali celebrations hold a unique place in my heart. We Marathis celebrate it with boundless enthusiasm, and the preparations begin early in the day. In my city, this festival is more than just a day of celebration; it’s a day filled with tradition, color, and unity.

Let me take you through a typical Diwali day with my friends and family!

It all begins with the sound of excitement echoing in the house. The first task? Cleaning! Yes, I know, not everyone loves cleaning, but on Diwali, it feels different. My family and I come together, cleaning every corner of our home, making it fresh and beautiful.

People say one of the best parts of Diwali is drawing Rangoli, but guess what—I’m not a fan! Still, every year, my friends and I gather to start sketching patterns, from flowers to intricate designs, and sometimes even our own creative twists! By the end, we stand back, looking at our creation, feeling proud and full of happiness.

As the evening draws near, we dress up in our best traditional attire (I wore a saree!). My family and I gather for the Diwali Puja. We light oil lamps, offer flowers, and chant prayers, feeling a sense of peace wash over us. It’s a beautiful reminder of gratitude and the blessings we share as a family.

Diwali wouldn’t be complete without delicious treats! My mom prepares the most mouth-watering sweets and snacks, filling our home with amazing aromas. Every bite feels like a celebration!

As night falls, we step outside with diyas (oil lamps) in hand, lighting up the entire house. My friends and I decided to keep our Diwali green this year by avoiding firecrackers—a small but meaningful initiative to protect the environment.

Diwali, to me, is about more than just traditions. It’s about the love, the memories, and the bonds we strengthen each year.

Thank you for being a part of my Diwali story! I hope you feel a bit of the joy and warmth that fills our hearts every year. Wishing you all a Diwali filled with love, laughter, and light!

Until next time, keep the festive spirit alive!🪔🎇
