The idea of minimum wage is really odd. Free markets should be able to decide without impositions. Those that favor it do not understand how it binds growth. Merit gets crushed. The dollar value gets crushed. Now you have 11 dollars instead of 9 but I’ll pay 20 bucks for something that you could buy for 10.

A minimum wage hike is a good thing....unless it is done too quickly. Here in Ontario, the minimum wage was raised from just over $11 to $14 and it will be raised to $15 next year. The Bank of Canada predicts that will cost in the neighbourhood of 60,000 jobs in Ontario.
