As New Hate Speech Law Backfires
..................................................................................................................................................................................
The Irony..the Irony.

  • Ironically, as we observed last week, just hours after the law's passage it immediately backfired when it claimed its first victim, a German satirical magazine’s Twitter account which "parodied anti-Muslim comment."
    .......................................

Totally unexpected unforeseen consequence?

Can anyone REALLY be that stoopid?

Oh wait...it's a goobermint...
yeah..they can.

Sort:

Censorship is the worst crime there is. You can take many things from a person, but if you take their speech, you are taking their last hope.

it astonished me when I found out being a holocaust denier was a criminal offence..😂😂😂

will the germans miss not having freedom of speech.
how long has it been since they've had it?

The truth needs no investigations... Gas chambers? Leuchter report.... thegreateststorynevertold.tv

Germans just can't help but be authoritarian. Why can't they just be content building Porsches?

or Glocks.?

Don't forget H&K's

My BAD!
How could I forget?

that's the Swiss , silly..😂😂😂😂

the swiss just make cheese, chocklate and watches..
and operate banks..

watches> clock> Glocks.....

do catch up ....&#128514&#128514

Germans culturally seem to have fondness for the thought police

What was it, $50 million for not taking down "hateful" posts from social media? It's insane. It will be interesting to watch these countries (maybe including my own?) turn themselves inside out fighting thought crime while places you would never expect (like Poland) thrive.

we live in interesting times..
I don't imagine they realize that they are driving everything to the darknet.

and the onion..

I wonder if any competitors are thinking of uber spamming competitive sights with offensive material? - basically grinding them to a halt - If I'm thinking it , I'm sure there some techies working go on it.

It makes any website vulnerable to anyone wishing them harm.....bet they never thought that one through...

...spam your nearest builder with hate speech, and they get fined 50 million, or employ 20 people to keep the website free from it...mmm

Although, in fairness- I have been thinking about this issue for a full 5 minutes...

it happened immediately after the law passed..the first day.
oh..the horror..
(I made a post about it)

really interesting anather lovely post @everittdmickey thanks for shereing

While the law requires web-based social networking destinations to erase or piece clearly criminal substance inside 24 hours, Bild Editor-in-Chief Julian Reichelt said it could be connected against anything and anybody since there was no meaning of what was "plainly unlawful" as a rule.
