on FBI Chief to Resign Over Missed Shooter Warnings
..................................................................................................................................................................

  • Florida Governor Rick Scott is calling on FBI Director Christopher A. Wray to resign for the agency’s failure to take action over warnings that the Parkland school shooter was a powder keg waiting to go off.
    .
“The FBI’s failure to take action against this killer is unacceptable,” Scott said in a statement released Friday afternoon on February 16. “The FBI has admitted that they were contacted last month by a person who called to inform them of Cruz’s ‘desire to kill people,’ and ‘the potential of him conducting a school shooting.'”

.......in other news...........

Deputies called to suspected shooter’s home 39 times over seven years

  • Before Nikolas Cruz carried out his mass killing at a Florida high school this week, police responded to his home 39 times over a seven-year period, according to disturbing new documents.

.....................

The FBI was called once? The Sheriff and the local police were called 39 times?
Yet the governor calls for the FBI director to resign? Does that seem a bit odd? Is the governor projecting?

Sort:

Christopher Wray's resignation is not enough.

Jeff Sessions has been missing in action for a year now, allowing his department make congressional oversight difficult. Corporate oversight helps keep agencies like the Justice Dept and FBI accountable and doing the jobs they are supposed to be.

Rod Rosenstein needs to go as well. He has protected the politically biased leadership of the FBI instead of cleaning out the rotten apples and refocusing the FBI on its core mission.

Sessions has been missing..but I've not noticed any action.

Good point.

Missing in inaction

I agree it isn't enough, we need to stop funding the FBI.

Judicial Watch was on TV last night saying the FBI should be closed down and the good agents transferred over to the Marshall's Service who would assume responsibility for FBI core activities.

I think they are right - because it is hard not to see the FBI actions against Team Trump as anything but tresaon.

Rick Scott was playing good cop to Judge Jeanine's bad cop.

The Sheriff and the local police were called 39 times And Governor calls for the FBI director to resign.
It seems really odd.
Everyone who involved in the incidence should be punished.
Thanks for sharing @everittdmickey!

It's cecessary that the FBI and The Sheriff and the local police give an convincing answer, to clarify the lack of attention in this case... Because of the gravity of the matter the Governor ran to get out of the problem and leave the responsibility in the FBI's hands ... Negligence? It would be extremely serious.

Great post about news @everittdmickey Thank you very much .

Everyone involved in the incidence should be prosecuted not only the FBI director as his resignation is not enough.
Welldone

For the governor to have called for the resignation of the fbi director, it means his action can't be overlooked but still, others who fail to answer when they were called shouldn't be left unpunished too.
My take though!!!

@everritdmickey after reading the post i conceive foul play, it seems really odd, the police were already aware of the kind of evil he is capable yet, they were loose in taking precautions and yet fbi was only called to awareness once so why is the gov attacking the fbi, well i will just say in politics everyone looks for means to attack each other, i smell some foul play.

This I think is more in education from home, the theme of this guy who exploded in tragic murders, but the police like to see this kind of acts did nothing to avoid such a tragedy, they should be put into statements and judge all according to their actions.

That is unfair treatment for the FBI director. The wrong people are paying for the sins of the criminal
