Now, Digital Nomads have been changing the way people work and live by going beyond simple trends.
The development of the Internet, the spread of SNS, and the rapidly increasing number of people in pursuit of a happy life rather than a successful career have already changed a lot between work and life, to a great extent.
The title "Life of Digital Nomad" was believed to be a trendy concept, but it presently is more than merely a fashion. According to New York Times (a recent Gallup survey), a survey of 15,000 adults found that about 43% of American workers want to work remotely, and its number will be expected to gradually increase.
Chiang Mai in Thailand and Bali,Ubud in Indonesia have long been a hot spot and loved from digital nomads, along with an affordable living cost, a real active foreign community, and WiFi, etc. Generally, those who pursue a digital nomad life tend to be living in one place for less than a year, most likely somewhere between 1 and 6 months, making their own life.
When the area is crowded with people such as tourists, digital nomads are looking for another area to explore. For example, Resting (Canary Islands), SunDesk, and Bansko (Bulgaria) are becoming increasingly popular as a co-working space.
A new industry has emerged that coordinates travel and logistics with the Digital Nomad Group, which seeks stability and consistency in such a fast-paced, ever-changing world.
This is the community for people who are pursuing a digital nomad life:
Remote Year and Hacker Paradise, which collectively addresses housing, transportation and workspace for long-term travelers of 3 months, 6 months or 1 year. It facilitates productive working environments, cultural and social activities as well as fast WiFi, and further helps people who have moved to new places adapt quickly.
On the other hand, according to the PWC report, 71% of the Millennial Generation said that they are considering working overseas.
It is said that the workplace and the labor force are flowing in a completely different direction from the way we originally thought, and will change dramatically.
What makes people like this phenomenon on a Digital Nomad's life?
The fact that we might be able to keep our jobs for a lifetime is now dead, and even a lifetime job is disappearing. A life expectancy of 100 years has increased the chances of having at least three of our lifelong occupations.
Worrying about your later life after retirement, if you can learn how to earn money online incidentally while currently keeping a regular job, how happy are you?
This means that you can also live a digital nomad life.
