How to organise an event for bloggers & media to promote your company.

As I wrote in my #introduceyourself post, I work in a professional cosmetic industry in Kazakhstan and I am responsible for Marketing, PR and business development. I am all over digital marketing and I am a total fan of it. Let me tell you in short, how to organise an event for bloggers and media, in case any of you is looking for tools how to increase awareness about your business and attract more customers.

1. Purpose of the event

For our team it was important to attract attention of as many people (of our target audience) as possible to our brand, to increase a number of subscribes and later on convert them in to our clients.

2. The guest list

There are many bloggers nowadays. How to choose the right ones? First of all, the content of bloggers must be interesting for the audience which we are targeting. After I made a list of potential guests, I have made a full analysis of their audiences with a help of www.livedune.com and decided who of them could help us to reach our targets.

3. The invitations

The invitations are the first impressions about your event. It is better to be creative here and make the guests feel WOW at this stage. Our designer worked on it and created those black and silver style invitations, which were put inside of our brand shopping bags with some little products from our company. 60 bags were delivered :)

4. The program

It is important to understand, that you need to create a program of PR event, so that people could leave it with some new ideas in their minds. In our event, they found out that we offer alternatives to cosmetic surgeries and that the ingredients which are used by our brands are extremely effective. We thought of how to organise it, so that they wanted to share this information with their audiences.

5. Make it fun

The event can not be boring. We pleased them by inviting one of the best DJs in Kazakhstan. We offered them drinks and finger food. And, our official program was not long. In one and a half hours, we told them about our company everything we wanted them to hear.

6. Prepare gifts

Every guest received a bag of products for testing. During next two weeks, the account which we promoted, was tagged many times in their posts. We received around a thousand of new subscribers after 3-4 weeks

7. Be nice to them, they will be nice to you

We did not expect that influencers would post about us for 100%, though we wanted. Working with bloggers, it is better to remain within etiquette. Nothing is obligated. The amount of positive feedback from bloggers directly depends on how well the event is organised. If they like it, the post about it.
