Digital World-2017, the country's largest organizing event at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center, has started. On December 6, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formally inaugurated the biggest four-day information technology program.

In the inaugural speech, he said that the talented young generation of the country will fulfill the dreams of joining the country's rich country by taking forward the IT sector.

Urging the young generation to be ready for the coming good, the Prime Minister said, 'We are making young people skilled in the education of modern technology. So the whole world is now in their hands and I hope these young people will make the dream of building the nation's prosperous and prosperous Bangladesh by leading the country forward.

Referring to the information technology sector as the biggest partner of the country's development by 2021, the Prime Minister said Bangladesh is going forward and we have been able to upgrade our GDP to 7 decimal 28. We are also growing in exports. But I think if we give more opportunities to the ICT sector, then our export will be more widely available from here. We do not have to look any other way and our boys and girls are quite talented in this regard.

Referring to the fact that this sector entrepreneurs have been encouraging 5% in the export from this year, Sheikh Hasina said the income from software exports will exceed $ 1 billion in current fiscal year. It is expected that by this year, the income will be $ 5 billion, and the contribution of software and ICT services to GDP will increase to 5 percent.

The Prime Minister said that every district has developed hi-tech or software technology park. Along with this, 100 hundred special economic zones have been built. Plots will be allocated at these places when private entrepreneurs are allowed to invest.

In the chairmanship of State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Palak, in the chair as special guest, Speaker of Parliamentary Standing Committee on Postal, Telecommunication and ICT Ministry, Imran Ahmed and Bangladesh Software Information Services (BASIS) President Mustafa Jabbar. ICT Ministry Secretary Subir Kishore Chowdhury welcomed the welcome speech.

Referring to a large number of children coming to our labor market every year, the Prime Minister said, we are also working to create jobs for them as well as to make themselves an entrepreneur of information technology.

He said 28 high-tech and software technology parks are being developed across the country. Meanwhile, the activities of software park in Karwan Bazar and Jessore of Dhaka have been started. Apart from this, 12 private software parks have also been developed. In order to attract domestic and foreign investment in these parks, a provision of 10 years income tax waiver and 100% Repatriation has been provided for various facilities.

In order to give training to children in the house and teach them in different languages, the app has already been made in 10 languages ​​and they are being trained, the Prime Minister said, "Learning and Arining" is being implemented. The post office has been digitized. In the Union Union Digital Center The boys and girls sitting in their own homes in the village can now earn money from abroad.

He said it will be improved further. Our free lancers have made the place among the top ten of the world's largest free lancing site, the Ichons and Free lancers. From the number of free lancers in the world, we are in second place. We will be in the first place Inshallah We hope that by 2021 our 20 million young people will be associated with the information technology profession.

The Prime Minister said, we started making our own brand of laptops, mobile phones. In order to encourage entrepreneurs in this sector, we have made the duty symbol 1 percent on 94 items from this year. As a result, not only the local entrepreneurs, the world-renowned manufacturers will also be interested in the factories. Meanwhile, companies like Samsung have set up a factory near Dhaka. In this sector, we guarantee the best way to help the investor.

The Prime Minister said, we have provided the services of the second submarine cable and six international terrestrial cabs in the private sector. This has increased the usage of more than 10 times the internet bandwidth across the country. Internet bandwidth is also being exported. The price of bandwidth that was 76 thousand taka in 2007 has now dropped to 500 to 1000 rupees. As a result, many uses of the Internet including e-governance, e-health, e-commerce, e-learning, mobile applications have become available.

Referring to the introduction of 4G technology in the next few days, the Prime Minister said, there is no substitute for innovation capability and research in the development of information technology sector. For this reason, arrangements have been made to provide research fellowships, scholarships and grants for innovation under the ICT department. Besides, 'Innovation Design and Enterpronership Academy' has been established and developed on the new platform 'Startup Bangladesh'.
He said that the EE fund system has been started with the initiative of Bangladesh Bank and Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, including Venture Capital Loans of the entrepreneurs.

Referring to the ability of our youth to look around the world today, the Prime Minister said, they have handed over the task of smartening 10 thousand developed countries like Japan to our youth. They are working on this issue.
Referring to steps taken to make the sector more suitable, the Prime Minister said the world including the United States, Europe, Canada and Australia
