Colleagues, blessings to you all on this beautiful day. Today I'm going to show you my most recent drawing of one of the cards from the game. For today, I chose R490 Dung Chen. This instrument, which the card represents, is ancient; it's believed to be very old, and the exact date of its origin is unknown. It's mainly used in China and Tibet, especially in local religious and cultural gatherings. But like any instrument, it's also common to see it in other regions or adapted to other genres.
The instrument itself is like a flute, but very long, up to 20 feet long, which is more than 2 meters in some models. Therefore, the longer part can rest on the ground or on a stand. In almost all the videos I've seen, it's played in two ways: either sitting or standing with the wider part on the ground. I'll leave you with a short video so you can hear what it sounds like; the sound is quite deep, not high-pitched.
As you can see, although I compared it to a flute, its sound is far from similar; it's very different. I used the comparison because the playing method is similar, and I wanted you to understand. Okay, so let's get to what we came here for today: the drawing. I'm going to show you how I did it. First, I started by drawing the card's frame.

After finishing the frame, I drew a guide line to create the body of Dung Chen, and then another to create almost its complete outline.

Once that was done, I moved on to drawing the remaining parts of the silhouette, such as the flared section where the sound of the instrument comes out, and the mouthpiece through which you blow. And with that, the sketch was ready for the next step.

Now it's time to paint; it's time to bring the black and white sketch to life. I used the card's most dominant colors to paint the background. And for the frame and the inner background, I used the same color palette as in the original card. Here you can see how it turned out.

And to finish today's drawing, friends, here's the finished piece. I hope you liked it. See you next time, blessings, and happy Wednesday!
