Honeycomb - DLUX
Over the past year we've been diligently improving several aspects of the honeycomb suite, it's an ecosystem for community tokens, layer 2 smart contracts, and open-source UX to control everything. Some of our centralized service providers have left the market, highlighting the importance of decentralization to our features and pushing the SPK Network's development to our highest priorities.
The SPK Network is nearly comleted with several innovations being coded and tested to bring about a resilient, incentivized decentralized storage solution. We can fully trust the integrity and providence of files in the system. Which means we can store community level config files for Honeycomb, as well as backups of their ecosystems. The SPK Network also let's you register new API service types, allowing infrastructure providers to be indirectly paid for managing resources like TURN servers for live streaming, or front end gateways and mirrors of front-ends; each enforcing and maintaining their own network blacklists to help balance political and other censorship pressures.
Work has been done with multi-party transactions, allowing not only complex uploading, but whole game roll-ups with minimal on-chain messaging. These improvements will also transfer into Metamask enabled rollups for non-hive accounts.
dlux.io has also had significant updates to allow additional honeycomb token ecosystems to have fully functional UX for the DEX and NFT markets. As well as access to DLUX dApps for any additional UX a layer 2 may need.
We would like to petition HIVE to support further development that continues to improve this ecosystem.
DHF Proposal (TL/DR)
- Add features to Honeycomb State Channels
- Utilize SPK Network to distribute Smart Contract changes to Honeycomb
- Add Honeycomb Wallet features to dlux.io opensource.
- PWA distribution
- Continue Stability Improvements
- Documentation Improvements
- HBD Stabilzer
- 350 HBD /Day for 1 year.
Add features to Honeycomb State Channels
SPK Network uses state channels that are settled after all parties come to agreement. These state channels will be usefule for keeping messaging off-chain while enabling complex interactions like playing a game off-chain, then settling the game on chain. We aim to build more generalized versions of these state channels to support these activities with documentation so new communities and games can utilize them easily.
Utilize SPK Network to distribute Smart Contract changes to Honeycomb
Build a system to load in community level smart contracts for the honeycomb from IPFS. Allowing communities to track additional data from Hive blocks. After this running a community software package will be almost fully automated. Currently any custom smart contracts must be written in a fork of the Honeycomb software which makes handling security and feature updates a real hassle.
Add Honeycomb Wallet features to dlux.io opensource.
Support dynamic features that have been properly configured, allowing mirror-able custom UX. Each token ecosystem may have custom features such as starting a state channel for a game, or submitting a feed price. We would like these interactions to generally live inside the token configuration file so the providers of mirrored UX don't have to change their code to accommodate most new features.
Progressive Web App Improvements
We want to provide software that let's a user install any dApp published with dlux to be installed as a PWA. Letting the user's of honeycomb ecosystems clone, modify, and distribute wallet apps and community features as near-native applications on mobile with no censorship from app stores, desktops supported. As more people run gateways for these services these services will become more resilient. This will be a script that points to a manifest file, which will be dynamically generated based on the dApp contents.
Continue Stability Improvements
Software is always moving and improving, keeping up to date with changes and implementing fixes is a must for any far reaching architecture. With the above changes we hope less honeycomb instances are running on forks, and we can help maintain the software dependencies as well as security and any breaking changes.
Documentation Improvements
Continue to improve documentation so it's easy for the less technically adept to build a layer 2 to suite their needs; as well as easy for their community to run their nodes with minimal help.
DLUX.io
We've switched to a 100% client side rendered site, with all of our backend open-sourced. We strive to provide a low-cost, mirror-able gateway to the underlying technologies. The new site features 3 Hive signing methods and intuitive account management, and is now optimized for mobile with feature parity, PWA install-able on mobile devices with near native levels of app support. Future improvements will include in-person onboarding and following, publishing methods to support UX of honeycomb ecosystems, dApp features, local storage of keys, and mobile improvements.
Automated Market-Maker
With the below promise to pass all funding through an HBD stabilizing algorithm, I'll need to source or build such software. We hope this software is maintained by more than just us and used widely among DHF recipients to double-dip on the benefits to the Hive ecosystem with both promised improvements and a stable HBD.
Costs
350 HBD per day. 1 year. October 1st, 2023 - September 30th, 2024. 127,750 HBD if fully funded.
General
Our infrastructure costs are generally negligible and we strive to keep them as low as possible thru decentralization. We are just proposing a rate for our time to innovate and share solutions as the community needs them.

- 200 HBD/day
With SPK Network soon supporting the Hive Ecosystem, I see most of my time shifting to support the hive-wide aspects of honeycomb and continue to develop more shareable resources. More than 7 years on Hive and now on target to reach Orca status by January 1st. I just want to continue to invest in Hive and contribute to it's ecosystem in valuable ways.

Has been working on Hive related software and proof of concepts for 5 years now. He works on UX at dlux.io as well as the film industry as a cinematographer. WorldAI Day 2019 we onboarded about 100 users to Hive live at an event. Maintains the front end UI and has been building the UX for generally all of DLUXs features.
HBD Stabilizer
We will pass 100% of our funding through an HBD stabilzation algorithm. This will generally improve the liquidity of HBD on the internal market, or supply pressure to raise it's price after the convert window. This software will need to completed, and will be opensourced(Would also love to source this software if available. Can anybody share?). My general holding has been in Hive, believing that Hive will grow at greater than the HBD interest rate YoY.
Track Record
With over 7 years on the blockchain I have been working here exclusively for the last 5. I've brought several concepts to life from DLUX, SPK, DUAT to HashKings v1. My github is chock-full of concepts brought to life, and my posting history has discussions in a wide range of industry knowledge. I run a witness and a backup for ensured up time, where I'm currently 37th active place. (You can help improve this standing as well with a vote). I've also increased my holdings to roughly 100k in Hive and Hive Power with several thousand more on Honeycomb assets.

I'm absolutely in support of all these improvements you are doing. We need to get our features and technology ready before the bull market hype bring more attention to cryptocurrency. There are too many good Proposals on HIVE that are unfunded.

There’s something about the name “Honeycomb” that makes one interested to know what it is all about, goodluck with your proposal!
Being able to trade the internal market in an automated way would sure help with liquidity.

Thank you for your participation in the HiveFest⁸ Meetings Contest.
We truly hope you enjoyed HiveFest⁸ and it's been our pleasure to welcome you in Rosarito.
See you next year!

Why upvote someone like Phasewalker?

He probably posted something noteworthy in the past. I auto upvote most of my follow list.
He is still just spamming shitty stuff and you are still upvoting him xD
hmmm, i unfollowed him, could have been residuals in the vote cue but that seems like a long time. Unvoting
Either way thanks!
Just wanted to let you know, no harm done :D
Alright. Properly a long time ago :p
Thank you so much for your contribution to the growth of this ecosystem
Peace
Been AFH (away from Hive) for a while, so it's my first time seeing dlux.io
Beautiful frontend, haven't explored yet, but you've got my vote
Have you talked to @smooth about running their stabilizer? His proposal states more people should run stabilizers. Curious myself because I was thinking to get one running, and wanted to know what code was available. Do you plan to make yours open source?
His algorithm is openish... but specifics would let somebody game his algo. So when I make my bot open the algo will be as basic as possible as well(open orders at the last HBD Stabilizer price).
Hmm interesting. Good to know. Yeah I would think simple is best. I have built spot grid makers before, would love to learn more how his solution works.
If it is for the benefit of the Community, I have my full support.
