Thai Princess inaugurated the center of Binna grass development project in Chittagong

Thailand's Princess Maha Chakra inaugurated the Binna Grass Development Center (Vetivar Center) in Chittagong. Banna grass is planted to prevent erosion in the hill. Rajkumari Siddhartha inaugurated the center under Binna grass development project in the city's Tigerapas area on Wednesday morning.

Chittagong City Corporation is implementing the project with the help of Thai Saipattana Foundation. Professor Mohammad Sharif Islam Islam of Civil Engineering Department of Bangladesh Engineering and Technology University is providing Technical Assistance to this project. Under this project, banyah grass will be planted in the decaying hills of the city. Binna grass display plots have also been built on the foothills of the hill.

This morning, Thailand's Princess Tiger Passer handed over the Binna grass to the guests at a foothills at Batali Hill Mitha Hills. Then he visited the Binna grass show plots at the foot of the hill. Later, he inaugurated this center by planting barka grass on the foothills of the hill.

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, City Mayor AHM Nasir Uddin and Ambassador of Thailand Panamiman Swanapugansa, who were present in Bangladesh, attended the program.

Professor Muhammad Shariful Islam, a professor of binna tech support, said that the grass roots are very long to look like a leaf leaf.
