130 years ago people feared that London would be buried by horse shit due to too many horses transporting people and goods (wiki, more).
People fearing that hundreds of millions of people will die by climate change exhibit the same level of reasoning.
50 years from now people will laugh about the fact that today millions of people were afraid of climate change.
Climate change (at least the anthropogenic or man-made part of it) is the consequence of using fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas, etc). The problem of climate change is far, far, faaaar more pleasant than the problems we had before the use of coal, namely freezing to death, hunger, severe epidemics.
Climate change will be solved by technology. In fact it is already solvable today via Stratospheric Aerosol Injection, Marine Cloud Brightening, Surface Albedo Enhancement, Cloud Seeding, ...
But before using these technologies on a large scale, we should understand the climate a lot better, especially the physical interdependencies, not just play with overly complicated statistical models. We need to deeply understand the feedback loops within the atmosphere and determine the "ideal state" of the atmosphere.

vor 130 Jahren befürchteten die Menschen, dass London aufgrund der vielen Pferde, die Menschen und Güter transportierten, unter Pferdemist begraben werden würde (wiki, mehr).
Menschen, die befürchten, dass Hunderte Millionen Menschen durch den Klimawandel sterben werden, zeigen ein ähnliches Argumentationslevel.
In 50 Jahren werden die Menschen darüber lachen, dass heute Millionen von Menschen Angst vor dem Klimawandel hatten.
Der Klimawandel (zumindest der anthropogene oder vom Menschen verursachte Teil davon) ist die Folge der Nutzung fossiler Brennstoffe (Kohle, Öl, Gas usw.). Das Problem des Klimawandels ist bei weitem angenehmer als die Probleme, die wir vor der Nutzung von Kohle hatten, nämlich Erfrieren, Hunger und schwere Epidemien.
Der Klimawandel wird durch Technologie gelöst werden. Tatsächlich ist er bereits heute durch stratosphärische Aerosolinjektion, Meereswolkenaufhellung, Oberflächenalbedo-Verbesserung, cloud seeding usw. lösbar.
Bevor wir diese Technologien jedoch in großem Maßstab einsetzen, sollten wir das Klima viel besser verstehen, insbesondere die physikalischen Wechselwirkungen, und nicht nur mit übermäßig komplizierten statistischen Modellen spielen. Wir müssen die Rückkopplungsschleifen innerhalb der Atmosphäre tiefgreifend verstehen und den „idealen Zustand” der Atmosphäre bestimmen.

Gebe Dir natürlich grundsätzlich recht, aber die Geo-Engineering-Initiativen, die Du erwähnt hast (stratosphärische Aerosolinjektion, Meereswolkenaufhellung, Oberflächenalbedo-Verbesserung, cloud seeding) verursachen potentiell WEIT größere Probleme, als sie lösen, denn wir verstehen die Auswirkungen noch viel zu wenig. Und neutrale, ergebnisoffene Wissenschaft zu dem Thema wird unmöglich gemacht durch IPCC und andere mächtige Lobbyvereine, die jeden kritischen Wissenschaftler ausgrenzen.
Daher würde ich wegen des Risikos auf die Umwelt nicht großflächig das Klima ändern wollen. Warm- und Kaltzeiten hat es schon seit Hunderttausenden Jahren gegeben, wir können uns nur daran anpassen. Der Weg zurück in die Steinzeit ist natürlich die dümmste Lösung. Besser wäre es, die grüne Lunge des Planeten zu erhalten. Wenn wir die Abholzung der Regenwälder stoppen, wäre das schon die halbe Miete!
I think most people already find the idea of anthropogenic climate change laughable...at least those born in the 20th cenury. Anyone who's researched the subject further than asking Grok knows that the earth has always swung between warm and cool periods, I'd wager that far more danger is posed to the climate by Stratospheric Aerosol Injection, Marine Cloud Brightening, Surface Albedo Enhancement and Cloud Seeding than by CO2 . I mean, what goes up must come down.

I think the "climate crisis" as "they" (I don't know who "they" are) is a hoax. Fear sales! I'm not worry at all. It's the world going cold that worries me. But, that just my opinion. 😉
