Downvoting is a huge toxicity on the hive blockchain.
A nasty whale who don't like your sauce, can totally destroy your lifetime work.
This why they they forked and built the Blurt protocol, with no downvote facility.

Blurt has other issues that have prevented it's token from gaining value or it's platform from gaining mass adoption. Investors have no route to ROI so no 'real' money is behind the token. It's good that flags aren't that route on Blurt, but bad that there is no route to ROI on Blurt.
So far there isn't a successful platform that enables creators to receive the financial rewards that would otherwise inure to advertisers, and Web3 remains to be captured by a successful innovation.
