El más grande sacrificio masivo de niños en el mundo ocurrió hace unos 550 años en Perú, donde arqueólogos descubrieron los restos de más de 140 niños y 200 llamas ofrecidos en un ritual, anunció el jueves National Geographic.
El descubrimiento, que obligaría a revisar la historia de sacrificios humanos, ocurrió en un acantilado sobre el océano Pacífico, en la región norteña de La Libertad, una zona donde se expandió la civilización precolombina Chimú.
Trujillo, capital de La Libertad y tercera ciudad de Perú con 800.000 habitantes, se halla a poco más de un kilómetro del acantilado.
