Photography is never about the tools you use, it's about how you see the light and the soul of the image. Some of the greatest photos ever were taken with the cheapest and least functional cameras. You can have the most expensive camera in the world, but that doesnt make you a photographer. Just get out there and shoot as much as you can.

Exactly. There is more technology in cell phone cameras now than there was in the cameras that were used to make a lot of the iconic images when photography first started. It is all about how you use light to create an image.
