Some dictators have more support from the people than the "democratic" governments, remember, the United States and Europe are not democracies, they are republics with representative governments, they only use the slogan "Democracy" so that nobody questions their actions. On the other hand, when 51% of people vote for something, it does not really mean anything, Socrates was unjustly sentenced for a democracy much more valid than the current ones, and Aristotle said that there was no worse government than a democracy. In any case, the hypocrisy of Western governments when negotiating with tyrants, and then sending armies to other countries, is really incredible.
