Yes. SteemPress introduced its first curation guidelines with our first post announcing that we had received a delegation. These guidelines were also provided to Steemit Inc and explained to Ned and Andrew when we pitched SteemPress.
Votes are done primarily through 3
Community curator trails (vote size depending on the scale and track record of the curation project)
New user welcoming votes (done manually by a SteemPress curator, size of the vote depends on criteria below)
Randomized tips (requires the user to first be whitelisted to prevent rewarding spam, the size of the vote the user is able to get as a tip depends on criteria below)
We also introduced a set of criteria to judge how large upvotes a given user would be able to get either as a welcome upvote or later as a tip. These criteria included:
- Originality and quality of content
- Level of engagement from users either on steemit.com or on their blog.
- How well done the website looks and whether or not it links back to their Steem account as verification and Steem marketing.
The latter referring mainly to the fact that the blog should be authentic and with a clear goal of growing for its own sake, rather than being set up primarily in order to post to Steem and thus be able to receive upvotes from SteemPress.
As announced in our growth strategy, we will be making further improvements to these guidelines in order to incentivise additional growth, engagement and including positive gamification.
