1. The unvaccinated endanger the lives of others
This is purely false and projective based on absolutely no evidence whatsoever. Unvaccinated doesn't mean infected and an unvaccinated person who is not infected wouldn't be a danger to anyone as far as this topic is concerned. So if the concern is over being infectious, what makes more sense is a COVID test passport for everyone, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, since both can become infectious and put others in "danger". A counter-argument might be that yeah but the unvaccinated are more likely to become infectious. But that in no way justifies the strategy to battle the spread of COVID. What was the likelihood of the virus escaping a lab in Wuhan and landing everywhere on earth? To allow the vaccinated to freely spread COVID just because they're less likely to do it is a very lame argument. It screams nothing but priviledge and discrimination.
2. The unvaccinated put pressure on the health care system
This is yet another grossly false and projective generalization of a group of people based on again no evidence whatsoever. The majority of those who get hospitalized by COVID have comorbidities and many are even experiencing adverse reactions to the first dose but they're still being counted as "unvaccinated" and lumped in with all the other healthy unvaccinated people most of whom have already got COVID and recovered at home and have natural immunity which is far better than vaccine induced immunity. But even if the choice of the unvaccinated was putting pressure on the health care system, and that would justify vaccine mandates and passports, why not be consistent and do the same with smokers, the obese, alcoholics, and many other folks with provably unhealthy lifestyle choices? Why didn't we think about this before? Or why not privatize the health care system and see which hospitals thrive? The ones that will discriminate or the ones that will treat everyone equally?
What do you think folks? Have you heard of any other defence? Let me know and I'll debunk it in another post. I've personally only heard of these two which are the dumbest arguments ever, if you can even call them an argument to begin with 🤡
