Why steemit rewards of each post gets reduced all the time and couldnt get it back within 7days limit?????!
Some even goes down to 0.00 cents????!!!
As I am new to steemit, I recently started posting few of my articles and photographs but it's highly a big achievement to get each cent!
Counting each cent is like reaching Mt Everest peak!!
The moment I feel excited to reach a dollar, rewards goes down and down.
My steem power and estimated account value also gets decreased but that would be because of steemit ups and downs!
While seeing my decrease of steemit reward cents, I feel like What... Seriously?????? with lots of sad feelings.
My pencil sketch!
Why... What is the reason for the cents to get decreased??
Why is it going down and down though I get more upvotes than before???
Why.. Why.... Confused?$!#&*¥£@€₩
Is it because of ups and downs of steemit rate in market??
Or is it because of my low steem power???
Or is it because I upvote others post and increase their post rewards??
What would be the reason?
I even feel like why am I wasting time to write articles and photographs for low cent rewards but then steemit made me to bringout my talents in art, photography and articles. So I'm still attached to steemit!
Please comment below for better understanding so that I can think of any work arounds!!!

I agree it's all a little confusing, it's a bit annoying if your new but in a way it makes you delve deeper into the community and resources to find answers. I'm sure it will be easier in future but I think we're priveliged getting on board so early!
I like your sketch too! :)
Thank you.
it has to do on the price of steem going up and down, and of people who vote on your post voting more afterwards and decreasing their votes power too probably.. And you could have got a downvote.. but im not sure.. Im sorry its happening to you though. keep at it!
Sure
@karenmckersie definitely nailed it. There's more in the FAQ (https://steemit.com/faq.html#Why_do_the_earnings_for_my_post_go_up_or_down) ... I wonder if we must wait the entire 7 days before cashing out. ... LOL I've yet to write my first post.
I completely understand being addicted to any platform that helps you bring out your talents!!
Oh and I found your post here: (https://steemit.chat/channel/postpromotion).
Enjoy have fun!
PS Love your sketching style! I also enjoy your photography. I may get my camera back out.
I haven't done it yet but I will be posting my first song ever online through Steemit hopefully within the next few days! It's a bit scary but I'm so glad something is finally getting me to show my talents!
@carface! That is great! This is the best place to show of your talents and with time get paid for them. Welcome to steemit!
@marillaanne Yes you must wait the 7 days. It won't pay you before that. I recommend you do a #introduceyourself post to increase your reputation, and for people to get to know you. Most people make a steemit sign with a date, and take a picture of themselves to verify it's you. Welcome to steemit!
Thank you very much for the info and the encouragement.
I did create an (crazy lady) introduction. https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@marillaanne/a-soft-opening-introduction-em-that-got-a-little-out-of-hand The picture thing will have to wait a bit.
For the moment people will have to be content with knowing that I have one single voice I use everywhere on the web and I've posted to my website re my steemit :) mmm well There are a few other marillaanne's on the web but they are nothing at all like me.
Pretty sure it's because of this.
I had the same concern when I first joined Steemit - a year ago. Shortly after the price took a huge nose dive and it was so sad watching the value of the content decreasing, but thankfully someone pointed out that it's the vest that matter =)
Thankyou for your info!
Yes , if the price of steem drops , so does your rewards ! If your lucky the price goes back up before your 7 days cut off is reached ! Then after 7 days you can claim your rewards at the top of your page in your wallet ! The price and payouts will always fluctuate with the market ! As long as steem keeps going up , which it is starting to do right now , and is projected to keep doing , so will your rewards !! Post your best articles when steem is going up !! Good luck !! 👍👍👍 And welcome to Steemit !!
Thank you for your idea!
no problem !👍
@digitaldollar It's a mix of different things. the main reason is market value fluctuates. You get paid each post after 7 days, and it's an average. In addition, depending on how many posts are made each day, and how many upvotes everyone gets is what you get paid. So if market value decreases that day, your rewards may decrease. Overall, don't focus so much on every single cent you make. I had many posts with $0 or a few cents. Sometimes I still only make $0.20. But i keep posting and sharing with the community. Do what you like and what makes you happy, and if people like it they will upvote it.
Great sketches! You can use tags #art #drawing or #sketch for more visibility! Keep on steeming and you will see the results. Don't give up!
Sure. Thank you..
just wanted to add that while the price may fluctuate, so long as it's not related to any downvotes, your payout in SP/SBD remains the same.
I generally POWER UP all my posts as well, which means that the STEEM POWER earned on some of my older posts showing 20 cent payouts when STEEM was 10 cents, may now be worth 20 times that due to the recent runup in the price of STEEM.
Of course, that's a long-term "bet" on the viability and growth of the platform, and the opposite would apply if the price of STEEM dumps again. If you'd rather (or need to) take your payouts and "run", that's fine too and the investment aspect wouldn't apply.
Thank you for your ideas..
I think that post and account worth fluctuate according to steem's market value, but I'm not 100% on that. Just keep on truckin and you'll build momentum so stay confident!
I second @circuitshark remarks. As the payout for a post is in SBD and as the value of steem fluctuate so does the post awards.
I am still trying to make sense of it all too. We need someone to explain it like to a 5 year old! :-))
@gerdadutoit ! You made me laugh. My husband showed me this article by @aggroed [Can you explain Steemit to me like I am 5] (https://steemit.com/steem/@aggroed/i-m-new-here-can-you-explain-steemit-to-me-like-i-m-5) when we were looking around before joining. It didn't make a ton of sense until I'd been just kind of reading and absorbing lots of posts. Now, it's easier to understand. I just wanna get the hang of Markdown Styling :P
upped :)
upvoted and resteemed it,,,great post, worth reading especially for newbies like me
@digitaldollar it's possible after someone upvotes you that they can take the upvote back and thus your payout goes down. I read post on steemit that explains it but I would not be able to find it now. It also said that some people upvote to bookmark the post and then later they will check it out and if don't like, they take the vote back. I would assume if a whale did this, your payout would drop considerably.
Thank you for your info!
love your sketch @digitaldollar
Thankyou!
good question
Ha ha..
Okay I think this post resonates with a lot of people on steem.
Yes it is!
Yup, it can certainly be a bit confusing - I'm still figuring it out :) Fortunately, there are plenty of friendly steemians to help out.
Yep thats right. There are lot many ppl to support us in steemit especially from steemitchat!
Upvoted
Thankyou!
It is because our voting power keeps on changing.
Thats bad! Yep our steem power keep changing..
I understand your feeling; it happens to everyone, new and older users, but it has more to do with the droping or rising of the Steem and the Steem Dollar.
But don't worry, mate. You'll see soon or later your rewards, I'm sure of that!
Thankyou for your encouragement!
You're welcome!
cryptoctopus is currently using his VAST Steem Power to upvote every post and comment made to Steemit through chainBB
Maybe that could serve to counterbalance the vanishing of post rewards.
@drpuffnstuff I hadn't heard anything about voting on posts diminishing the power of our previous votes. I just thought they affected future votes XS (guess it makes sense, but I'd never thought about it)
I think Steemit shows you the earnings in USA dollars, not in STEEM. So if STEEM price fluctuates, so would the amount you see.
Oh really!
