I don't know, so I should try it out.😀

I just edited an old post published to Steemit and the first tag cannot be changed.

I just tried it. Deadpost is the second tag of the original post and I added it to the description and doesn't show up in the tag, at least not yet. Maybe a bug or slow refreshing?

Hi guys!

I think the tag people need to use is: hive-113828

The same happened recently with me on Naturalmedicine. If you don't post from the community, just using the tag ( as used to be the case on Steemit ) doesn't make your post show up.

So either post from here: Deadpost Initiative Community or - if you want to use PeakD or Hive.blog instead - make sure to use this hashtag:
hive-113828

You might want to edit the post to clarify this
@whatamidoing :>)

If it's old posts, there's no way to post it originally into the community, other than to copy/paste an old post into a new article, which is frowned upon and can earn downvotes for doing it.

Crossposting and Communities have changed things since last year.

That is the whole idea, copy pasting it and adding an intro.

No worries man, frowned upon or not, resurrecting an unrecognized good post, is way better than the average shit post.

I won't do it...

Sounds to me like you're not convinced ;>)

Lol, that's me😂

Crosspost will be ok #deadpost tag is simply an extra way to find post and raise awareness. I'll update the post to clarify

I just checked and mine did show up in the tag from editing them in the original post, put it still categorizes them by the date. So an older post may show up way below newer one's that were crossposted long before the one in question.

If they post into the community they don't need to use that tag, the #deadpost tag is just to raise awareness and make it easy to curate. maybe i should clarify!
