About dCity
dCity is a mathematical and trading game based on non-fungible tokens available on Hive-Engine. Players build their own cities with tokens representing buildings, citizens, technologies, and earn income in the form of hive (based on ranking) and SIM token (based on city income). There are also cards that players can get only from playing the game like technologies, backgrounds and prevention cards.
Penultimate change in population boost
With the popularity factor being cyclically lowered over the last few weeks, we have been looking at the changes that have taken place in the players' cities and their opinions on this topic. As such changes are capable of causing relatively large impacts on some cities we have decided to postpone the popularity factor reduction for one cycle. Within ~24 hours from publishing this post the popularity factor will be reduced to 0.63. This way we anticipate a relatively smaller impact on player cities and allow time to prepare for the eventual lowering of the population boost to 0.60.
The impact of the popularity factor can be seen in the graph below:
Reward increase for the SWAP.HIVE:SIM pool
With the recent changes to Holding rewards at dCity we have decided to add 3 million SIM tokens to the SWAP.HIVE:SIM reward pool, thus increasing the %APR for participating in the pool. In addition, we have added today another 10 million SIMs to the rewards, increasing the %APR from 20% to just over 30%. As an added benefit of being an LP provider in the SWAP.HIVE:SIM pool there is also a BXT reward, which is currently 20% APR. Participation in the pool counts towards receiving HIVE's Holding rewards.
Influence the life of dCity
dCity is not only a trading and mathematical game based on NFTs but also a community of players participating in the life and development of the game. As a dCity player you have an influence on current conditions of the game. You can show your support by participating in dCity President elections. Recently we wanted to draw more attention to this topic by organizing a giveaway for those who cast their vote, thank you very much and we encourage you to vote regularly.
As the game develops we have created The SIM Millionaire Club which can only be accessed by players with over 1 million SIM tokens, this can be held in the SWAP.HIVE:SIM pool or in your own wallet. As a member of the Club you have access to giveaways with multiple prizes and the opportunity to participate in closed events. If you meet the conditions you can apply to the dCity board for the rank and access to the Club.

Love the developments lately guys, nice work. Can't wait for the 0.60 to take effect, my dCitizens do not enjoy the upheaval each time this metric changes. 🤸
Such upheaval!

Uh, I had to put #HIVES in and buy cards , but I could , uff .
I want to ask the following :
I thought I could help the game by minting new cards with my income .
Is that right ?
You can mint cards with SIM or HIVE yes... but it would make more sense now to mint with SIM, since it's way cheaper than HIVE.
Cool, my Question was , if minting new cards is helpful or not so much , for the games ecosystem "progress" .
Depends... sometimes it's best to just hold on, for when it's really a hard time for anyone and you are really in the loop for the big push... I have done it a couple of times and usually, it makes some difference. But, in the end, what really helps is for people to show their own love and dedicate their time to things.
I know it's not the right answer but that's how it best works, in my view. The last thing I wish to say is if people just wanna help and don't play that often, then the best would be to mint cards and hold. Long-term that's basically what I have been doing anyway.
I really can appreciate this anwer, thanx .
Kinda hard to add to a pool when you are getting extremely over taxed and virtually getting no SIM rewards. This 109% tax rate is insane. The only reason I am still in this game is because I would take a huge loss if I tried to sell my pieces.
This is a game that will drive you crazy... you either have time to be around and understand the rules and the economic loops that you can do on it... otherwise don't expect miracles. Even I don't have the time I had in the beginning. Although from time to time it's nice to see some trying to figure it out. Math math math is all this game is about.
