Honestly, this is the only time Gohan seemed so badass.
Android 16 told Gohan that it was okay to fight sometimes to defend their loved ones, and to protect the world he loved. Perfect Cell, overhearing this promptly crushed Android 16's head beneath his foot. This was the moment when Gohan finally snapped and attained a new level, Super Saiyan 2 (and went on to kick Perfect cell's arse. Yay!)
I don't get villains motivations. It's like they want to loose, always stalling for time and angering the protagonist just to eventually kill them.
Oh yes they do! BUT this particular saga is so absurdly funny because Goku hands a senzu bean to Cell who (even without a Senzu bean is massively powerful) ends up beating his son to a pulp. Good old Goku being Goku.
They should make a father of the year award for him. Or maybe it just shows how much he believes in his son. Still a dumb move.
