Yesterday I used a homemade cleaning solution on my apartment shower/bathtub and it worked AMAZINGLY!
I mixed one cup of the BLUE Dawn dish soap with one cup of cleaning vinegar (heated up in the microwave for one minute) and put it in an empty Windex spray bottle and sprayed down the whole tub.
One of the cool things that happened when I sprayed the solution on the walls was that the grime turned black, so I could see which parts were dirty more clearly.
After about 15 minutes, I washed down all of the walls with a wash cloth and everything just SPARKLED! Our apartment tub has a textured bottom that is very hard to clean. In the past, I have tried using the white Mr. Clean sponges to take off the soap buildup but that utterly destroyed the sponge and left a lot of the sticky buildup on the tub's walls. This solution just took everything right off without much elbow grease required. ;)
I am so glad I tried this. It was definitely worth it! This is a MUST-TRY for everyone!!!
