Code skills probably should have said "tech skills"
Either way. Candidates will be interviewed, and the deciding factors will be:
- ability to contribute
- fitness for our mission
- actual contribution
Validator in tendermint speak is analogous to witness in graphene speak, except well, you know-- way better understood due to the presence of a helpful team (tendermint's-- as everyone on steemit knows, I'm an asshole. @sneak says so!) and way faster (tps, block time)
Hey! Check it!
We got @warren.buffet in our corner ;)
Heh, I wish I had any technical knowledge of any of this stuff. :^)
Once we have reached 50% technical folks in our validator pool, less technical folks will be able to donate & interview to be validators. We will try and maintain that 50% ratio, and yes, it's so that the technical folks can assist the less technical ones.
:)
One of these days I'd like to learn more. Hopefully one of the more technical folk can lend a hand down the line. :^) But this will probably be after I've settled into a comfortable position within this community.
Hope to see you in our chat pre-launch, and making incredible posts post-launch :)!
I'm in the process of setting up some validators (BTS, STEEM), happy to run one for Dawn too. :)
Please, join our chat and let's get to know one another :)!
The experience actually matters to a degree I find shocking. (I thought the validators would in the end be super-easy to use.... not yet, that's for sure)
Are you seeking BTC investment to run a validator node?
Absolutley not. It is not possible to invest in dawn. We accept donations to continue our work and do not promise any economic return whatsoever. Our donors wish to see our work continue.
Does DAWN-network has anything to do with Steem, if not please remove #steemdev and I'll remove my downvote.
Thank you.
