Biased by the explanatory and quantitative power of data?

in #data6 years ago

A worth reading article how data has been used historically to create evidence on target completion in questionable realms like body counts during war times.
The transferability into nowadays is given with companies pursuing an information based business model exclusively - and not to evidence an effiency option in traditional manufacturing processes, consisting in extracting energy and resources to produce a component.
In a data dominant world we may fear to disagree with evidence created by data, instead relying on our human and sentimental feeling what’s right and wrong. Ethical perspectives on analytical intelligence created by big data sources and in general human behavior in business processes is becoming evermore important, that dictatorships are not created by humans or data likewise.
