They asked 184 students to participate in a study on sexual attraction, in which a computer would seek them an ideal companion. However, researchers tended a trap, because all women showed them the photo of the same individual, and all men photo of the same woman.

To draw conclusions what they did was to ask respondents whether they wanted to or not have sex with the person they were seeing. Some were explained to them that that person was married and others were told no.

The men did not change their way of thinking when making the decision,but women. When told he was single, 59% of them said yes have relationships, but when told he was married, the number reached 90%.

Behind this the researchers found a pure sexual selection mechanism. If the candidate is married or have a partner and this translates into female sexual appetite as a male already proven that showed reproductive success, and therefore a good lover.
