5, 6, 7, 8 ... This is the best known score among dancers and dancers and is part of the lives of everyone who has had contact with the dance world. It is with her that the day begins of diverse companies, studios and independent groups. A routine that involves continuous repetition, concentration, persistence and, above all, passion.
Contrary to what can be imagined, the life of those who dance goes far beyond the brilliance and applause of the end of a spectacle. Months before big presentations, a long process begins, that goes through research of themes, study of personages - from its intricacies to its psychological complexity, choice of songs and costumes and countless hours of rehearsals.

The dance beyond the applause

Climbing to the stage is the climax of the dance world, but rehearsal is the root. The routine of dancers' rehearsals that precedes a show is the moment in which the music and its details will be known, familiarization with choreography and movements. It is when there is contact with a face of dance that only those who have maintained a more intimate relationship with this universe are able to understand.

While the dancers are in preparation, they must face and overcome their own demons. Pain is the first to show itself; persistent and insistent, it does not arise from day to night and much less disappear in this way. It is the result of intense rehearsals, numerous repetitions, which often take the dancer's body to the limit. Cramps, pain in the arms and legs, blisters on the feet, strains, are some of the consequences that every dancer faces in search of perfection.

In addition to pain and physical exhaustion, those who have chosen to dance must still deal with the psychological pressure imposed by others or by themselves. Insecurity, low self-esteem, frustrations and disappointments are part of everyday dance. Even after months of rehearsal, listening to the same song repeatedly and making the same moves, there will always be one or another detail to worry about.

nunca me imagine que los pies de una bailarina llegaran a ese punto, y mucho menos con la delicadesa que refleja una bailarina de balet

Creo que el estrés mental es peor que el físico en el ballet clásico
