Dappan Koothu (otherwise called Dappanguthu, or essentially koothu) is a society move and music class with an accentuation on percussion performed in the South Indian territory of Tamil Nadu.It is one of a few well known types utilized in film music, for the most part in Tamil silver screen and other South movies, recorded and delivered by individuals of Tamil culture.
Dissimilar to established Indian moves, for example, bharatanatyam or kathakali, koothu is moderately casual in that it has no organized, rehashed steps and artists don't learn through formal move classes. It imparts its accentuation on percussion to more seasoned society moves of Tamil Nadu, for example, kummi and kolattam.
