There was once a woman
who has an immature husband. Most of the time, they had misunderstandings. Everytime
they fight she always end up sobbing to death. Her friends have been advising
her to let him go but she can’t, because
she doesn’t want to give her son an incomplete family. And most especially, she still loves her husband.
Before, her friends thought that she was a big fool thinking that she was holding up to something that she can’t control. However, her friends realized that she is a strong mother and a loving wife who knows that God is in control.
What keeps her holding on is the love that she has for her son and for her husband.
With her story, I realized that we are not blind when we love: we are just full of pure kindness.
LOVE IS NOT BLIND
“Love is Blind” is one of the most famous love quotes that we have been using. However, I realized that in love, we could see all things. You could see both the beauty and ugliness of something but because of pure kindness, we remain holding on to the power of love.
LOVE IS FULL OF KINDNESS
Even if we can’t understand, we understand them. Even if they have hurt us, we forgive them. Even if there is no left for us, we still provide them. Even if they are unworthy; we see them worthy. Even if the situation is already difficult; we still see hope. Even if people keep on telling us that we chose the right person; we still have that full acceptance and full contentment.
In love, we develop the sense of understanding, forgiveness, generosity, appreciation, hope, acceptance, and contentment. In love, we receive the gift of kindness and not the gift of blindness.
CONCLUSION
I hope through this, we remember all the people who have shown kindness unto us in every situation. They are those people who have shown their love unto us.
Let us remember our family who accepted us and loved us whoever and whatever we are. Let us remember our friends who have been with us in all of our happiness and life dramas. And most especially, let us give thanks to our Heavenly Father who is the main reason why we “LOVE”.
