RE: Pitkäperjantaivoileipä – Long Friday Sandwich :: Daily and Fresh 📷 (70/366)

In Finland, particularly in the Lutheran faith, Good Friday – the day that Jesus was crucified – is called Pitkäperjantai, the Long Friday.

In Hungary, we call it "Nagypéntek", which may be translated to "Bigfriday", "Largefriday", "Greatfriday".

In the Orthodox church in Finland too, they call it large like that; "Suuri Perjantai"
