That's terrible. I know what you feel has happened to me too.

And the worst happened to me many years ago I was just finishing my thesis.
The good thing was that I always keep the backup in a pendriver

    Thanks.

    Fortunately it was just some software related crash. I reinstalled the operating system, and it appears working again. I only need to install all the software back so I can start editing photos again.

    All my personal stuff are on a separate harddrive, so reinstalling the OS doesn't do damage.

    I also have a few external drives for backups.
