Town hall and something about pianos :: Daily and Fresh 📷 (288/366)

Hello!

Shooting with the vintage lens again...

I went to town to pay for Leo's piano studies.

The owner of the store suddenly wanted me to see the new piano they had for sale and told me Leo might like an upgrade for Christmas.

Oh man, did it sound great! After having listened to the maestro, and another customer (a concert pianist herself) I was completely blown away, but I didn't have time for but one photo before having to come back home and prepare some food for the family.

The piano in question was a Kawai Novus NV5 Hybrid piano, here's Kawai's own promotional video for it:

It was a bit too expensive for Leo to upgrade to at the moment, but if the cryptos really go to the moon, we'll see...

Talking about pianos and Leo, I must mention this... Leo's piano teacher recently asked him if he would like to perform in an upcoming concert. I didn't realize he's already that amazing! I'm personally hoping Leo will say Yes!

When I was there, we also chatted about Miro, about how he'd also been having piano lessons early on, but dropped out because he didn't like to be teached and only wanted to perform. Well, Miro has grown a bit, but he is saying he doesn't want to play piano, but violin.

The shop owner hinted that I could get him an electric violin, as they are much quieter and most times cheaper too. I think I will keep this in mind if Miro still insists on wanting to learn violin.

But hey, I'll go prepare the boys some evening snacks before they get to bed.

See ya!

That piano make you impressive with its sound and leo like it grab it, hope cryto at least reach sky to help you as well as others too by raised its price!

Very sharp lens! This must be quite heavy too! Stunning effect!

Hope you could record Leo’s piano practice at home for us too! Free piano recital for us! LoL

Thanks!

It's actually not too heavy lens. While it's over 40 years old, and made of what I suspect is aluminium, it's sturdy, but still compact and lightweight. Most of the weight benefit comes from not having internal electronics or focus motors.

The problem with its sharpness is that it is only sharp at F11 or F16 apertures, meaning that if I want to shoot with a shallow field of contrast to get some bokeh, the photos will inevitably get very soft.

Hope you could record Leo’s piano practice at home for us too! Free piano recital for us! LoL

I am urging him to record some of his playing so that he can post it on Hive. I could bet he's not going to regret it.

Wow! This lens is very old! 40 years old! You should put it in a museum! LoL

Yah. Waiting to see Leo’s post on his piano piece! He has grown much taller!!

Hehe I don't think I should put it in a museum yet, as it still works.

We must hope Leo will make a performance on Hive one day.

He certainly is much taller these days. I guess he might even surpass my own height soon.

Waiting for the piano recital.

@gamer00,
Wow that vintage camera photography is so amazing! It's truly beautiful and no idea about the piano. I never played that before.

Cheers~

Ah, but it wasn't a vintage camera I shot with, only the lens... But maybe we can consider my 10 year old Canon EOS 550D vintage already. I am hoping to get my hands on the new Canon EOS R5, but it costs almost 5000 euros. My cash situation is not the best right now so I will need to wait until Bitcoin hits at least €100k I think.
