Hey!
Today I photographed one of my favourite wines, the Raimat Abadia red wine.
There's an interesting back story to why and how I came to know and like this wine, that you can read after the picture.
When I was younger, just received my driver's license, I used to drive my friends to the bars and nightclubs a lot. I was almost always the designated driver.
I often took to the dance floor to pass the time.
In one of the nightclubs, every night we went there, there was an old man that worked in the same department, in the ministry of Labour where I used to work in at the time, biding his time sitting by the bar counter, reading a paper and drinking whatever old guys drink at bars on Saturday nights.
He would sit there reading a paper through the whole night until the closing hours, when we also often left the place, so I often offered to drive him home.
After a few of these trips, he suddenly told me to wait outside his residence. (He lived in the Helsinki Olympic Stadion for some weird reason.) Anyhow, after some waiting, he came outside with five bottles of red wine, and he offered them to me as a payment of the car rides I'd so graciously given him.
I was dumbfounded... I wasn't too much fond of wine, and this was some Raimat Abadia stuff I'd never even heard of. But whatever, I thought, maybe i'll just accept his gift and take the bottles home.
Long story short, he ended up giving me seven bottles of this Raimat red wine, and I just stashed them off in my wardrobe.
Some time after this all had happened, Christmas came, and I suddenly noticed I had lost some of my bottles.
It turned out my parents had found my stash, and tasted the wine, emptied the bottle and soon thereafter given five of the bottles away as Christmas presents, without even asking me for a permission.
They told me it was just that good.
I guess it was my brother who took the remaining bottle.
I had never even tasted the stuff.
Until some months ago, when Vera and I were browsing for some wine to take to her parents, and I noticed a familiar looking label in the local Alko shop (the national alcohol dealership).
Needless to say I immediately bought one bottle, because I suddenly wanted to try it out. What better excuse to open up a bottle than when visiting the in-laws?
So I bought the bottle, and tasted it with Veras mother. We found it was pretty good. And yes it is now one of my favourite red wines.
The best thing about it, it isn't even very expensive.
But hey, it's getting time to get to bed, so I'll finish here.
Have a good one, and see you all Tomorrow!

Wow, your wine story is not less than a cinematic and this bottle has designed specially as seem to me, its pretty good looking!
Now I wanna have a glass of this red wine too!!
How could you got all the wine bottle taken away without noticing!!?
Cheers.
Haha, well the reason I didn't notice was I was a bit too trusty, and thought nobody knew about them. I am also a bit of a scatterbrain, so I didn't even remember having the bottles myself, until I actually noticed they were gone.
Next time put your wine in a safe! LoL
That's a very stylish bottle. I hate to lose stuff that way, too.
