Ownership % is from linestarapp.com for the "$150K Thu NFL Rush ($25K to 1st, Thu-Mon)"
PO = Projected Ownership
AO = Actual Ownership
Only the highest PO players are listed.

Chalk (should score high points, will have high AO%)
Matt Bryant - $5000 -10.47% PO

  • Atlanta at home always puts up a lot of points and kickers have a say in that too. Bryant hasn't scored less than 12 pts in a game this season. That shouldn't change this week either.

Pivot (a riskier chalk play that should have a significantly lower AO%)
Ryan Succop - $4600 - 3.13% PO

  • My favorite fantasy kicker this year just can't be stopped. He does have a tough match up against the Texans who are only allowing kickers to average 5.5. PPG, but Succop's league leading 14.3 PPG should be enough to overmatch it.

GPP (should be a lower AO% that has a chance of scoring 2.5X-4X their salary in points)
Matt Prater - $4800 - 4.27% PO

  • Prater has a great match up this week against the Vikings who are allowing kickers to average 10.67 PPG. Not only is Prater coming off of a league leading 19 pt game last week but he'll also be kicking indoors. Finally, he has a career average of 11.33 PPG against the Vikings. Let him ride.

Fade (typically a good match up and/or projected to have a good game; avoid at all costs)
Giorgio Tavecchio - $4900 - 11.44% PO

  • Fantasy's leading K in Week 1 hasn't done much since only averaging 6.5 PPG. This week the Raiders play the Broncos in Mile High. With the questionable showing of the Raiders last week, it's hard to predict how much scoring will actually happen for this team. While the location should give Giorgio some extra length on his potential FGA, his price is too steep to take a chance on with more reliable K's on the slate.

Contrarian (typically a bad match up and/or projected to have a bad game; has upside to do the opposite)
Greg Zuerlein - $4900 - 4.26% PO

  • Zuerlein has been on fire this year averaging 12.6 PPG. This week he can further show off his consistency in an indoors stadium against the Cowboys. Buyers beware though: the Cowboys are only allowing 4.5 pts to kickers this season.

Sleeper (low AO% player that should get 2X-3X point value based on salary)
Justin Tucker - $4800 - 5.31% PO

  • Tucker has been a stalwart in fantasy football for the last few years and he hasn't been much of a factor this year. A match up with division rival Pittsburgh should bring his name back up to notoriety. He has a career 12.25 PPG against the Steelers and will be playing at home where he's made plenty of game winning kicks.

Bargain ($4500)
Ka'imi Fairbairn - $4500

  • He hasn't missed a kick yet and was perfect last week with 4 FGA. Give him the opportunity and he can throw up double digits for the minimum salary.
