Imagine it's the near future and you're posting on Steemit, trying to make your way up, editing pictures, commenting and making new relationships, ... You know, living minnow life, or should I say
Ooookey... Back to the story... You've done your job and did your best; it's Saturday, and you really want to have some fun! Of course, you didn't earn enough for good night out but hey, it's one life and it's now or never, you ain't gonna live forever. Yeah, it's the near future and we're still listening to Bon Jovi...
So, you text your friends wanting to make some arrangements on where to go tonight. It's Saturday night fever and you want to shape up and you're really getting nervous because one friend wants to go in this club, the other wants to go there, one is hungry,... Yet again, another typical planet Earth Saturday night story.
Is anyone for a Space Booze? I yelled. Almost in a blink of a second, everyone agreed! WOW! We're going!! Let me grab the keys of my space shuttle and we're heading for the Cosmos! I went to my home, grabbed me a cheeseburger (Yeah, I did), and headed back to my space shuttle just to see my friends skeptical about the whole Space Booze trip.
Where? Are you crazy? they asked. No friends, no I'm not crazy, don't you know? There's a place in space full of alcohol! Let me explain you!
There are gigantic clouds of alcohol floating around in space. It's a bit far, some ten thousands light years from us. The clouds like Sagittarius B2 contains enough ethyl alcohol to fill 400 trillion trillion pints of beer. Just enough for all of us...for one night. It is discovered in the year 1995 near the constellation Aquila, and it's 1000 times larger than the diameter of our solar system. Imagine that! If you like cocktails you can choose no less then 32 compounds to mix your best cocktail.
The majority of the ethanol out there is in gas clouds, so if you thought you're really gonna get drunk in space, well you were wrong :P There are almost limitless possibilities for basics molecules to get together while being put through freezing temperatures, sizzling heat,... So it's kinda amazing what stuff can be formed in our vast Cosmos.
