Hey friends! Here I bring you a fruit that I love! CASHEW and I thought it had an interesting origin: Venezuela, Brazil and part of Colombia! It's from my country and that's incredible! it is said that the Portuguese took the seeds to India in 1568 and from there it was introduced in southwestern Asia, reaching Africa in the second half of the sixteenth century. The United States made the first seed imports from India in 1905. Between this year and 1914, others were made to France and England.
But it's even cooler to know this:
The fruit consists of two parts: the pseudofruto and the nut. In other words, you can eat the pseudofruto as fresh fruit with many nutrients! On the other hand the nut too! This seed is in great demand worldwide due to its nutritional properties, it is also used in confectionery and is highly recommended in the diet.
Have you ever eaten Cashew?
