And will never, ever, happen to me no matter what I post! Now I am just dedicating my time to replying and posting here and there and otherwise getting in on all the posts about how to make it from a 🐟 to a 🐬. $17k...that is ridiculous money right there. $500 is insane to me. My first $40 post last week is now below $40 which means some assholes flagged it which is such a dick move. If people aren't careful there are going to be a lot of people cashing out and this will be a community of whales cut in half and minnows with no one able to make anything more than a few dollars because people wont Upvote or Resteem posts make with 100% effort. I make quite a bit per hour working my job so this isn't going to break me or make me but it might discourage me from making content and a lot of other people too. And to halt the progress of a STEEMIAN who joined last September and who has over 500 posts and has bought into STEEMIT with BTC and USD would be a mistake for the community and will ultimately destroy the value of STEEM. I think there are a lot of great people here on steemit that really try to help others out but dont realize that beyond tips and contests the best thing you can do is encourage people by UPVOTING and RESTEEMING their posts. A RESTEEM from a popular dolphin or whale can make someone "Level Up" and it hardly ever happens. Not in the way it should be. There are cryptos worth WAY more that simply traded electricity for coins and this takes a lot more to make your way from nothing to something. My Litecoin operation was way more profitable for way less time and effort. I have seen popular people post the weakest stuff and make bank just because everyone is kissing their asses trying to get a mention (which is sad) and others who have a low reputation make great posts and get nearly nothing and it really upsets me. Not because I am not rich off STEEM and making money just because people know my name but because I dont think influencial people are taking time to read posts, they simply create them and dont interact as much as they should. STEEM could be so much more than it is right now and I just think we are at a real danger of losing a lot of people who have spent so much time to earn virtually nothing, literally, as others buy cars, homes and boats. God bless those folks, I Upvote them every day (without reciprocity) but there needs to be a different way to get people who create content to be seen by more people and there needs to be more whales who interact and not just sit back and invest, but I suppose that can not be changed. Ok I am done bitching, and yeah I am just mad because I don't make squat. It sucks and it feels like I would be better off working some overtime and spending time doing other things. And that thought, if felt by enough people, would destroy this entire Steemit experiment (its in beta after all). That would be a real shame. Other cryptos are already offering more community options so we need to offer something to users, especially since we have barely 200k, and even less that are active content creators. We need to start motivating 🐋, 🐳 and 🐬'S to help Minnows, bringing them into full-time STEEMIT creators and make it worth it to do so, so when you Google something or Bing it a Steemit link comes up and not Facebook or Twitter. I am not teying to be negative I can just see a weakness that could prove to tank the value of the entire operation.
