Double Take: Landscape / Mona Lisa
@erb: "In 2011 I presented a solo exhibition called DOUBLE TAKE in which I explored the possibilities of creating and discovering new worlds hidden within well-known imagery. STAR WARS: How the Lightsaber Sound Was Made

Creating Mixed Media Art in Rome
@design-guy: "When I was studying abroad in Rome years ago, I took an art class as an elective. It was a lot of fun because our professor would take us to the most incredible places in the city and for an hour and a half we’d just sit there and make art. There were no rules at all..."

Graffiti in Philadelphia : Temporary yet Timeless (and Legendary)
@kenfinkel: "Philadelphia is known today as a city of murals. But scroll back to the 1960s. Philly was then mural free and still the walls spoke loud and clear, thanks to "Doctor Cool," No. 1," "Cool Earl," "Chewy," "King Lewis," "Kool Klepto Kid," "Sexy Snake" and, of course, "Cornbread." Philadelphia was America's tag capital. Years later, after "Cornbread" (Darryl McCray) retired, he admitted..."
Exploring the History and Context of Art Exhibitions
@awillbrown: "The history and contemporary study of exhibitions is still relatively new, at least as a formal discipline, or sub-set of art history. However, many of the periods in art history are taught through a curriculum that uses exhibitions as a way to look at how art has shifted over generations. Exhibitions become key moments in art historical narratives. One of the key differentiators between how exhibitions are taught in art history courses and in programs that..."

I’ve Been in Raleigh for a Week Now… and Loving it! Plus: The Walding Family Update
@heymattsokol: "As part of the “research triangle” of North Carolina, alongside Durham and Chapel Hill, it presents a wonderful intersection between silicon-valley-esque tech start-up culture and a vivid art scene powered by affordable housing and plenty of open space.
It feels like you live out in the middle of nowhere, enjoying the fresh air and open space. You can meditate, you have space to think. Except then you walk half a mile down the road and..."
Ettore Sottsass | A Radical Italian Architect / Un giorno a MET (Metropolitan Museum of Art), Nuovo York.
@mintvilla: "Last weekend, I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see an Italian architect Ettore Sottsass’s work. Dungeon and Steem: Day 8 Action Plan - Foretaste Of New DnS Era

Concerning the other two races, both have now only one standing representative. Next game post will be a special one. I’ll try to summarize what has already happened to our survivors and make a special spotlight for..."
Mr. Blinddraw - Aleisha, 2017 Portrait Artist Strikes Anonymously

Hi @sndbox, So far, I have been reading about the Steemit active communities mostly from US, Canada, China, Indonesia and Philippines. However, I think this is my first time that I'm reading a post about active Steemit Community from Turkey. It's a very encouraging and refreshing fact that more and more communities from different corners of the world are trying to take Steemit to the next level and hence working for a decentralized world. This is commendable. Keep it up!
This post deserves shout out.
Resteemed!
Thank you so much for the incredible enthusiasm @ugetfunded! We're working very closely with Steemit leaders and new communities to make sure these groups can thrive socially and productively. We'll be sure to expand our impact as much as we can.
