RE: The Daily Curie (27 May - 31 May 2017)

in #curation7 years ago

Hi, newbie here, read the original article from 9 months ago and then landed here. I have a question that, I think, is relevant to this whole issue and to which I haven't yet found an answer: why are earnings limited to 7 days from posting?
I assume that's right. I have read the beginner;s guide that seems to say that earnings are calculated after 24 hours and then 30 days. I assume this needs editing but also shows that the "7 days" rule has not always been so. Does this not limit writers of evergreen articles that are still useful in months or even years to come? As every post is locked into the blockchain, why are earnings not just calculated every 30 days for ever? I have many scenarios and counter-scenarios that may be plausible, but would really like to know from people who have been here a long time and, I assume, have had these discussions before - I just can't find them as the search function doesn't appear to function.
