Not every post made within the community gets a vote.
If you're referring to the curation compilations, think of the number of total posts eligible to be included in the daily curation compilation which is limited to 8 posts. If there are more than 20+ posts daily that qualify, we can chose to feature only 8 posts per compilation like what previous compilation posts have been on template.
