Top secret number 1 about curation rewards

in #curation7 years ago

Lately I don't have to much time. So today I figured it might be best to just show my table with curation statistics. Cause of I first have to update it and also write a decent post, it might take another week or even 2 weeks before I'm able to share this with you. And I think you can pretty easily see which upvotes receive the highest curation reward. The only question that remains is how to find these posts..... 😬

If you have any questions, drop them in the comments. I will see if I can answer them directly or include in a next post with comprehensive information about my curation strategy.

Are you blackmailing me with a vote of 15 SP? 🤔🤨🍻

Haha, deze is lachen!
Mag ik hem ook gebruiken?

Daar heb ik em voor gemaakt man. Ga gerust je gang.

Congratulations you have been upvoted and resteemed as part of #newbieresteemday's top 10 posts for the day! ...

Thanks a lot.
It really feels good to earn such a reward!

Wow, your really teasing us with this chart now hey? :)

I notice that your voting time is 30 minutes exactly? Why is that? I was under the assumption that it was best just a few minutes before that?

I'm totally looking forward to your other details. I see you had 1st place in @abh12345's Curation League...nice job!!

Well my table shows you should try to be the 1st to upvote. And it is best to do after 30 minutes. But in most cases you can better be the 1st to upvote after 15 minutes then being 9th after 30 minutes. Just to give some example.

Perhaps this helps as a start for some curation basics?

Thanks so much for that! And I had a look at the link as well; all very useful.

So would you say it's better to curate moderately successful authors with followings that vote late after a post is published?

Yes, but those are hard to find.

Understood. How many people do you think is a good number of people to follow if you are a plankton or minnow? And how far should one exhaust their voting power before stopping voting?

I'm trying to keep my OWN posts around $2 payout each right now. I get a lot of votes from using bots though. So do the bots get curation rewards too? Should I delay using bots or use them right away? Which is best for people voting on my posts?

Right now I have 5 people that vote for me automatically around 15 minutes after I post. I sometimes use the bots before them so I don't forget. So should I wait until 12 hours or so?

I am interested in learning to curate better rewards for myself but I am also looking to give back curation to the people voting for me.

The number of people you like to follow depends on how much time you like to spend at Steemit. I don't have to much time. So I better limit it to 25-50 people. Cause imagine how much I can read every day is they post 3-4 times a week?

Bots also get curation rewards. They are just like any other user, only programmed with code. You better use them straight away. Cause of the bot upvotes your posts a few minutes after you published it, the bot will get less curation fee.

Btw, why don't you power up the 34 Steem?

The only question that remains is how to find these posts.....

I think I know ;)

Go and win the curation league!

I actually like to hear what you think?
Your answer is basically the most important part of my strategy!
(I do know this sounds vague, but please answer and I will explain)

does it have anything to do with this page? https://steembottracker.com/

Yes

At first I started without using the bot tracker, but that made my life a bit more easy.

My whole strategy is actually based on asking questions. And keep asking them and learn from the answers. Part of the answers I find via investigating and another part by just asking.
But of course there is a bit more. For example everything I read I test myself. At first I basically don't believe everything because someone says so. And I dear to have a different opinion. Like voting between 15-25 minutes will not bring you the 1st position in the curation league.

I used to look in wallets, prior to the bottrackers existence.

This bot strategy will work if you don't care about the content you are voting on. I've checked your votes and this seems to be the case.

When you have more than 500 SP and are a bit more focused on giving votes to content worthy of a vote, see what voting after 30 minutes brings.

You have to beat the votes, same as the bot votes, but the people know this too, and so 'any time before the bot' doesn't work.

I agree that if I have a higher amount of SP, this won't work. Or at least not as good as it does now. I really don't know how much SP would kill this strategy....?

From an ethical point of view, this is not really a good strategy. But with only 15 SP that was not really important at this moment. And I still struggle with ethics in general. There seem to be so many people, almost everyone, that don't care about fair, honesty and that kind of stuff.

I for example still wonder if the abuse bots are all sincere? See the answer to my last post.
If I was able to build a bot, that would have been my new project, to investigate of it really works like that?Or actually doesn't work 😥?

It is not about how many people voted before You. It is how many VESTS do they upvoted for.
I have to admit, the best is to be the first curator. No matter what happens after.
PS. I love authors who don't upvote themselves ;)

Thanks for your reply!
Let's see if you will become this weeks winner. I think you have a very good chance.

In your case it starts to get fun to hunt curation rewards. Over a full year you could earn up to 1,000 SP. Although it fully depends on the amount of time you spend to earn such an amount. In my case I better work a few extra hours 😀

If I was the Poetin from Steemit, then I would give everyone the possibility to only use 10% or perhaps a maximum of 25% for self votes. Probably I would change a whole lot more. But I'm only a very, very, very tiny, tiny fish 🙃

Hey, talking in the topic of curations, take a look at this guy
https://steemit.com/@penghuren/curation-rewards
He has over 38 SP/1000 reward ratio upvoting ONLY comments :O
Definitely a bot. I didn't analyzed him yet but it's impressive!

That's really awesome. And I agree this must be a bot. He upvotes about 30 comments per hour. Seems a bit impossible to do this manual.
I really wonder how he knows that these comments will get upvoted?

Interested in analyzing this together?

I have found something interesting. It is part of something bigger.
