It's been another week, and I remember seeing some pretty neat posts during the last seven days. But where? Which ones? Where did I find that really cool post? No worries, some of them I managed to save, to present to you today. And I really hope to have more of them in less time. For now, these are my current picks:
Extracting Bees From A Large Log by @daddykirbs
What must the first beekeepers have been like? Back when people took the first step from merely eating wild honey as they found it, to actually taking the bees into their care. These two fascinating videos by @daddykirbs give us some idea of what it must have been like to encounter bees in a log, and move them over to a home prepared for them... minus the modern equipment, of course, but still fascinating.
Make Your Own Biofuel! - Save Money – Become More Self-sufficient – Why Still? by @gardenbsquared
Alcohol is important. Not only to add life to any party, but also to clean and disinfect things, as well as to burn for fuel. While alcohol can easily be purchased, it is really not that difficult to make. @gardenbsquared explains in great detail how this can be done with very basic infrastructure. There are two stills presented, each one as simple as they come, but each with its own advantages. If you have any reservations @gardenbsquared addresses the most common concerns regarding home distillation, and offers reasons against them.
Borage; a paradigm shift by @healingherbs
What is an herbalist and what do they actually do? If you don't know the exact answer to this, don't worry, you may not be the only one. @healingherbs relates in this beautiful post how she discovered her passion as a child to become an herbalist, and how the adult world responded to it. I found this article shockingly eye-opening regarding the general ignorance of our modern culture in the simplest things. It makes me realize what an amazing blessing the Internet really is.
I hope you enjoyed these three posts. There is more to come... hopefully before next week.
Good stuff my friend, you have a sharp eye for vital information.
thank you for taking the time to spread the word of fellow steemians. Definitely checking out the links you provided.
@stortebeker I believe everyone here will enjoy your post ! Upvoted.
Read your recommended posts and enjoyed all three. Thanks for posting these.
Thanks for sharing some good articles. There is an even easier way to make "hooch" or home-made alcohol. Just buy some fruit juice and add some sugar and yeast. There are videos about it on YouTube.
Wow. I'm really honoured. Thank you. I'm working on my second post; how to build your own still. I hope you'll enjoy that one as well. Cheers.
Seem intersting ones, I'll try to read them in the afternoon. thanks for sharing !
Thank you for including my post on this great list @stortebeker. I thought I was already following you....! I am now :)
