Description
The False heather brings a touch of delicacy and fresh foliage character into our gardens and landscapes. A petite shrub that grows 1-2 ft. high and 2-3 ft. wide, tiny bright green leaves are held in neat opposite pairs on outward growing branchlets. Small magenta flowers provide accent character within the foliage during the spring.
False heather is a good plant for raised planters, borders and foundation plantings in our Inland Empire gardens. It's perfect for understory locations where it provides rich foliage color and attractive texture for small spaces. It grows best in loam-type soils and with regular water throughout the year.
