Aceh : Education Has Been Inherited by Ancestors Since Hundreds of Years Ago

Education is a must for every nation in the world. Education is a basic need for every human being who can direct life in order to manage life regularly. With the education of every life will be directed and give a positive effect for this world.

In various countries in the world of engineering in implementing education to the nation of course with their various methods respectively. This is caused by the ancestral culture that has undergone the method of education from generation to generation.

With the development of cutting-edge technology in the recent century, the method of education continues to be developed in accordance with the times so that the method of cultural education that has long been applied to disappear. Because of this, many of us do not know how to apply it again.

In this post I want to share a story and experience about educational methods in my country of Aceh. Which, in Aceh, the educational method that has been implemented since hundreds of years ago is still implemented to date. There is even some of these education can compensate for general science. Education is often called DAYAH (Aceh Language).

DAYAH has become the basic foundation for the Acehnese even has been adopted by most countries in Southeast Asia. Like Malaysia, Philippines, and the entire archipelago.

In April I went to a region in Aceh that is PIDIE JAYA to deliver my sister in one of the grandest DAYAH education in Aceh which is led by one of the greatest clerics named TEUNGKU HAJI UTSMAN KUTA KRUENG. DAYAH this is named DARUL MUNAWWARAH

DAYAH has been established since the mid-20th century with various struggles to achieve the pleasure of god. And until now DAYAH is more advanced and growing.

I was with my brother to get there around 1 pm and we saw the dayah was in the rest activity of the santri. By rushing we pray at the mosque in the DAY complex before we go to register. I enrolled my sister in one of the dayah administrative offices in order to continue the process of becoming a legitimate student at the DAYAH.

After we have signed up, we are invited by one of the teachers' boards to see the location of the dayah in depth in order not to err on the way to the start of the lesson that will be started after the holiday for the new students.

I saw teaching activities in one of the hall that was attended by about a dozen zero-grade students.

Next we continue to look at other parts of the location that are attended by the study place as below the student booth as follows

We continue to circle and look. We get a recitation area again

And there is also a place that was once a common kitchen now used as an emergency study and certainly very narrow.

^{Seen the santri who are standing because the teacher entered the study room. This is one form of a disciple's devotion to his teacher.}

Students in this place of education have reached about 2000 more students who actively study. Because of this, many emergency emergency spaces such as public kitchens have been used for teaching.

The students are not allowed to cook with the stove because the available the place is not sufficient. They are only allowed to cook rice by using cosmos listirik. Next they buy side dishes that are sold in the area of the dayah complex. Every student who cooks rice is required to pay a fee of Rp 30,000 per month to meet the electricity bill. If there are students who cook in partnership then they can save the contribution fee because the fee bill is only in peg for every cosmos only.

After seeing the location of the kitchen, we continue the journey to another location such as a student bath which is equipped with a large well and water reservoir as follows

The Dayah has also provided a place of withdrawal of money for students to make it easier for parents to send needs for their children

Currently DAYAH DARUL MUNAWWARAH is conducting student exam activities that will end in the coming ramadhan month. Therefore my sister will be active again after Lebaran later.

Maybe this is just an experience story I can tell. May the steemian friends be inspired by the education culture that exists in our country of Aceh.
