The chimney in the corner of the Painter’s garden

in #culture8 years ago (edited)

The painter’s house was gorgeous. I have heard that the artist were poor, but he was rich. Rich painters are rare in korea as same as Western Society. The great painters were usually poor while they had lived. Of course, there was some exceptions like Picaso..
May be Kim keechang seemed korean exception as a painter.
(KIM KI CHANG)

On the garden, my mother recommended to take the photos of the chimney. The chimney was stood at the corner of the garde as always, but it was well decorated with korean traditional emotions.

There were several tiles carved with the traditional patterns.

These are a pine and a deer which mean Nature, nature’s beauty.

These are peacocks which mean the wealth

Turtles mean live long, health.

Cranes mean the eternal love of the couple.
Do you know why the cranes mean the eternal love?
Because one crane lost it’s spouse, it never married again.
In reality, korean nobleman could have the concubines as long as the money possible.

Sun and mountains mean the eternity of Nature.
It contained that human beings are the part of Nature and we need to close to Nature.

In the chimney which was stood the corner of the garden, there were such a meaning.

Did you enjoy ?

Followed! Can't believe I'm just now finding you. I've spent the last hour reading your posts and looking at your pictures. Amazing!!

Love that art, @slowwalker, thanks for sharing this one :)

Hey Slowwalker,

Mark from southern california here. I love your post, and the pictures were awesome. I love art and nature and that chimney was the combination of both making it right up my alley.

It must be.
Thank you

No problem. I followed you.

I am sure that chimney meant/means a lot to someone. How did you meet this painter?

He was very famous in korea

Most important: we need to close to Nature!

That's right

cool photography you

Remarkable work seeing the quality and the detail. My wife just when on a trip to South Koria and had the most life changing experience getting to perform in the traveling symphony. She loved it. I only hope we can go together some day and appreciate the beauty and document it to share with the world as you have done.

I wish your dream come true.

Very cool chimney. So neat seeing the world in real time on the Steem blockchain. @slowwalker, amazing architecture and love the emotion symbols. Steem On Friend

I think you need to make a house similar to this house, surely you will feel comfortable and calm when you are at home

It would be very expensive

But do you want a house like that

Wow, that is one cool looking chimney. And what a story to be told on a chimney. Thanks for sharing :)

I'm dealing with music on steemit but can not pass without telling you that I like your chimney!

I just googled Kim Keechang to see more of his works as you really sparked my interest. So I think that shows something which is valuable on Steemit: Even culture is being brought abroad. But unfortunately I did not find anything except from your articles :).

Even more great content! I like your documentary style of photography

good post nice work

Oriental architecture fascinates me! It is so distant and alien to westerners. I hope I get a chance to see at least some of spectacular sights!
