Seeing old thing, it made me recollect my past and fall me in the reminiscence. Guess old books, old notebooks and even old shoes. How do you feel, when you find old stuffs in the backroom.
Our memories were permeated into the things what we were using. These memories came out when we came across in the backroom, in that case our memories are reviving again.
On the contrary seeing new stuff, I have an apt to think the future and make me pleasant.
Especially relating to the houses, this tendency is more clear to me.
I saw a traditional style house was building in Seoul.
Occasionally I could look at the new house was under construction. It was last step. It seemed that they were preparing for a interior job.
Anyway this new building came to me with totally different feeling comparing to the old houses.
I felt hope and expectation, even heart beating.
This view reminded of old castle or Japanese style.
This modern-traditional house seems to be under construction for a Coffee shop, because it was located on the caffe alley.
Sometimes It is very helpful for the balance of my mind to look at the new buildings and new stuffs.
It's funny how old streets, neighborhoods, and houses can make us envision all of the people who used to live there and make it home. It's like bringing ghosts back to life!
Nice compliment to a great post. When I used to live in Brooklyn, New York, I would see all of the old brownstone houses and envision children 75 years before playing stickball (baseball) in the street. What you are describing is all part of the continuous community that exists in neigbhorhoods.
lol
I really enjoy the presence of your thoughts in this quality article.
I surely would love to go for a coffee in there. It is a rather inviting house of coffee!
Thanks for sharing and namaste :)
Thank you for dropping by
Old things remind me of some beautiful memories, tradition is something that marks us singular. This is beautiful house
You will find joy and wisdom in both old and new, that is natural. What is unnatural to our hearts and mind is how often the wisdom and beauty of the old is just tossed away in society. It physically hurts sometime.
It's beautiful
another wistful post, @slowwalker. You are on a journey of your own, trying to reconcile the past and present - trying to gaze ahead into an uncertain future.
I love old houses too. I saw a series on TV about a 1900 house - built at the turn of the last century. It was beautiful, but toxic. The paint contained lead and the wallpaper gave off noxious gasses.
What I really wanted was the beauty of the old house with the comforts and safety of the new.
I think you are trying to keep your connection to the past too. May I leave you with this quote?
We have lived, and no evil fate can ever take away from us what the past has given --Petronius
Have a good day, @slowwalker
That's a beautiful building! Awesome photos! 👍🏽
I love old things...
Your rights, there are old this is still useful and very durable, some of the new things being produced now are inferior. But the truth remains that technology has made things easy, some of the new things being produced now are very advanced compare to the old style. Is good to balance the memory. Good job.
Thank you so much
i love old streets
would love to drink a coffee there, thanks for the pics :)
really great pictures of a very interesting house :)
Old is good. I like old music, old TV shows and old movies. My memories take me back to a space & time I enjoy. So when I hear the music or watch the shows they take me on a mental journey back to the pass. It's so hard saying goodbye to yesterday.
Hi, I've just followed you and I'm really enjoying these Korean posts! Can't wait to see what you have to offer for our entertainment in the future!
Thank you!
😉
I think it's nice to reminiscence about things in the past, but you definitely need to balance that out with looking into new things around you and look towards the future. That house looks beautiful, by the way. I would love to go in there for some coffee if I was in that area once it's done! Thanks for sharing these photo's! And, this is a great post! Keep it up!
Thank you for your comment 🤗
Interesting post. It's definitely valuable to try to live in the present. If you let yourself dwell in the past you'll never grow. I like your perspective!
Those are nice pictures, one question in what city is this located?
Make the past a beautiful memory. And look at the future with optimism, effort and tawakkal.
It seems like it will be fun to pass the time while enjoying a cup of coffee in the house :)
Very interesting. Yes I do like the memories of the past and old items I haven't seen in years. I especially like finding items that no one has seen in years. I like this pictures of the house here. It does look more fresh and new and make you think of starting a new life or it being the beginning of something.
Nice little Taj Mahal coffee shop. Keep feelin' fresh my friend!
Beautiful house, sad they will turn it into a cafe shop where people will smoke and pollute the place !
The old house - our history. Love to travel and photograph these homes. They have a certain flavor. Even your smell. Different architecture. It is good that you are doing this!
Thank you for your comment
@slowwalker
You are right. The old is good. It has had it's place and will continue to serve us.
But, we do have to bring in the new. The human experience is to move forward to something new and hopefully better.
Your photos of the new building are very good. It helps us to understand what you are saying, when you try to explain how you feel.
Thank you for adding this to your work. It is very interesting.
Francis
thank you
I love old things as well! Such a great post it draws me into reminiscing as well 😁 Look forward to more!

가정 집은 아닐 것 같네요.
카페 거리에 있다면 전통찻집?
너무 예뻐서 꼭 한 번은 가보고 싶네요.
Nice pictures. Nice building too.

Every house has a different story to tell...wonder what all beautiful things this house must have seen..it must look more beautiful in the rains..aah I can actually imagine it

WOW!
What a cool looking house.
I love asian architecture! :)
Old buildings and houses carry an atmosphere of mystery, wisdom. They make me feel mysterious and mysterious.
Interesting house. This does remind me of Japanese style. It seems like the only one built there. Very unique.
This is a really good lookin House

Thank you for posting this, it was a very thoughtful content and definitely another perspective of viewing things.
It's so nice to live in a neat house like the ones in the picture.
Wow, are you in korea?
yeap
Stunning pics of a unique building. There are gems all around us if we just stop and look around.
The architecture on that building is beautiful!
very nice picture...good luck.
I guess future is way forward!
be it technology, evolving in culture or enriching in tradition.
One day, old has to go way and newness has to be embraced.
That's how we live. that's how we go forward.
In these pictures, even though, these building is new but it was kept with typical arch style. I surmise, style of your tradition.
But, you have that intuitive thing to capture stuff which matters.
And, You exactly did here.
@slowwalker.
This modern-traditional house looks amazing! I would love to stay in one.
좋은 글 잘 읽고있습니다.^^
감사합니다
I love this house.
My dream is to build that kind of tranditional house not in downtown in a city but in country side somewhere more nature friendly located
But I'm afraid because it costs a lot, much more than modern house.
i have a same dream and the same problem lol
Nice pic...
Nice, very cool.
There is just something about the character of the old things, old buildings , even the old ways that is soothing to the soul.

2층으로 지은 한옥의 모습은 처음봅니다.
한옥의 아름다움에 팬스를 유리로 처리한 모습도 좀 특이하군요.
한옥은 참 멋스러움이 베어나오죠
