So what is Chinese New Year?
Chinese New Year is about symbolically doing away with the old of the previous year and ushering in health, good fortune, prosperity, and happiness.
How about Chinese Red Lanterns
Red lanterns represent harmony, happiness, vitality, illustration and wealth. This is the reason that Chinese like to hang red lanterns in parties or festivals such as Chinese New Year, Lantern Festivals and more.

opening ceremony - dinner
The organizing committees provide a welcoming dinner during the opening ceremony with the presents of our Chief Minister, Dato-Dato, Datin-Datin and the VIPs. The opening night was entertained by the singers from China, Kuala Lumpur and the locals. They also have activities for kids such as coloring contest, games, lucky draws and receiving red envelopes (hongbao).
