A woman losses her husband to an untimely death suddenly grief and emotional trauma becomes her companion. She is made to pass through hell I the hands of her husband’s people including the ones she and her husband were nice to when the going was well .
They accuse her of killing her husband, subjects her to listen of horrible punishment like
• Drinking water used in bathing the Corps of her husband
• Sleeping in the same room with the Corps of her beloved husband
• Shaving off all her hair including her pubic hairs
• Walking on the roads off their hometown naked
• Driving her and her children out of her house and more
Her in-laws don’t care about her poor innocent children. Calls them witch and push them out off their father’s house to suffer with their broken mother. The widow cries without nobody to comfort her. At times her children will be taken away from her including her clothes are sized by her in-laws. What a life!
This widow relieved on petty trading at least to put food on her children’s table. The population of widows is steadily increasing in Nigeria and yet little or non of them are known including the challenges they go there.
( Nigerian widow’s lives in abject poverty with their malnourished and prone to diseases.)
The widow knows no happiness once her husband is dead. Tears becomes food morning and night. People maltreat her anyhow and nobody cares to come to their rescue.
Some of them suffer and die in vain without enjoying the fruit of their labour from their children. The same in-laws that I’ll treated the widow and her children comes to eat where they did not sow.
Hmm what a life.
Please let’s not neglect the cry of a widow especially Nigerians because it might get to anybody. It was not a widow’s wish the she becomes a widow but life brought it to her. Let’s all join hands together to make the world a better place for the widow by caring for them most especially the poor ones.

Typical life of a Nigerian widow. I don't understand why it is so.
